Jeff Crittenden Wins 2012 Dixie Classic Long Drive Event

Jeff Crittenden beat out a 28 man field to win the 2012 Dixie Classic Long Drive Event at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge Georgia. The Dixie Classic is considered the American Power Golfs crown jewel in the APG Tour bringing long drivers in from all over the world. Crittenden takes home his 2nd victory in a row in long drive competitions.

Maggie Kane wins NCHSAA 4A individual tennis singles title

Broughton junior Maggie Kane took the state singles crown Saturday, defeating Winston-Salem R.J. Reynolds’ Chloe Willetts, 7-5, 6-0, at the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A individual tennis tournament championship.

Scott Harvey Wins the Carolinas Mid-Am Championship

Scott Harvey picked up right where he left off last year with another CGA championship win. His final round 71 and three day total of 209 bested the field by six shots. "This win was kind of special because I've finished second three times in the Mid-Am" said Harvey.

Lucia Polo and Gina Kim Take First Place at the PKBGT Masters

Lucia Polo took first place in the first Major of the year for the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour Masters finishing 2 under par for the weekend. Fellow Precision student, Gina Kim, finished the 2nd round with a 68 and finishing the weekend 1 under par.

Guilford Tennis Goes Up in the Ranks

Director of Tennis, Dave McCain, has led the Quakers to a 2nd place finish in Men's Tennis and a 5th place finish in Women's Tennis. The program has increasingly gone up in the standings since Coach Dave has taken over the program 2 years ago.

Linville & Smith Capture Senior Two-Man

Director of Instruction, Robert Linville of Greensboro team up with Todd Smith of Charlotte to win the 2012 Columbia CPGA Senior Two-Man held at Columbia Country Club in Blythewood, South Carolina. Long-time friends and playing partners, the pair finished the weekend shooting a 65 and a 66 putting them -13 for the weekend..

Katherine Perry Has Two Top 10 Finishes in a Row

UNC sophomore, Katherine Perry, was the low Tar Heel for the Darius Rucker Invitational and finished among the top three individuals in the tournament. This gave her UNC Athlete of the Week Honors. She followed up this performance with a 9th place finish at the LSU Invitational.

Mike Goodes Off to Good Start in 2012

Scott Harvey Wins 2011 CGA Player of the Year

Precision student Scott Harvey of Greensboro, NC claimed his first Carolinas Men’s Player of the Year award following a stellar 2011 tournament campaign that validated his status as one of the best amateur players in the region. The 33-year-old property manager won four championship titles and two second place finishes.
